I just bought Crown Jewels today, so, this is my first entry. I can't promise how often I will post entries, but I will try to update when I can.

I had my TAH/BSO with Burch on 11-13-07. I go for my 6 week check-up on 12-28-07. My wedding anniversary is the day before. We are hoping to get clearance so that we can get a jacuzzi room at the hotel on New Year's Eve to celebrate our 4 years of marriage.

John has been so kind and loving. I've never seen him so attentive to my needs. He has not once tried to push me into having sex. In fact, he keeps saying we need to wait and I'm the one saying I want it now. But we will wait. I don't want to compromise my healing and neither does John.

He also knows I need to pamper myself and won't let me do anything around the house. He's not complained once that he has had to take over the house. He does the dishes, laundry, cooking, cleaning, and most of the grocery shopping. I will go to Walmart. They have motorized shopping carts that I can ride in. And if we are going to a store for only 1 or 2 items I will go just so I can get in a short walk. But he won't let me lift even a 12 pack of soda. He will lift anything over 5 pounds for me.

I hardly take pain pills anymore. If I do too much and I get a little sore I might take one at night just so the soreness doesn't keep me awake, but I'm beginning to think the pain pills keep me awake more than the soreness does. So, I try to steer clear of them.

So far, I've lost 9 pounds since my hysterectomy. I am finally back on the right track. It had to have been being so sick kept me from continuing my weight loss. Maybe now it will get a little easier. The pain kept me from walking. Now winter weather will be my big obstacle. I may have John move the treadmill to where I can use it as soon as the doc gives me clearance to start working out again. I still have 57 pounds to lose to reach my surgeon's goal. (BTW I had gastric bypass 11-20-06)

Today John has done laundry, washed dishes, cooked dinner (chicken), gone to the grocery, and taken his shower....all before going to work. Is it any wonder why I love him so much? Not one complaint. Even when all I had to do was watch the potatoes while he went to the store, and I burnt them. He's the best husband in the world. And he's all mine.

We will be going to Walmart this weekend to pick up gift cards for gifts for Christmas this year. No real Christmas shopping this year. I just can't do it. John says he will get me something and I plan to get him something, but everyone else gets gift cards.

Tax time is around the corner. We will get each other more gifts then. That's just the way we do it. Christmas, our anniversary and tax time are all so close together, that we get each other 1 gift then wait until we get our taxes to really treat each other. We always go to Outback Steakhouse with the taxes too. I can't wait. I'm tempted to not get a steak this time and try the salmon instead. We'll see.

Well, that's all for the first entry. See 'ya next time!!
