Ladies I wrote about this in september I have a friend who is MIA. My mother thinks she is in jail amd my daughter thinks she is in a protection program. I tried to contact her mother but the phone is disconnected. I can not fine any one who knows where she is. I am not upset but what kind of of friend is that. She was my matron of honor when I got married we share so much. It is one thing not to want to talk to some one on the phone but you can write text or email. This is so not like her, my mother was very ill and almost died and I still could not contact her it is just strange. I just needed to vent thanks.

Today I turned 50 and I feel great and best of all no one thinks I am that old. I was in Dillards department store today and I told the clerk it was my B-day, she asked my age and when I told her she said no way. You know that made my day I am just happy to be here. Life is a beach and we must enjoy it.

Here it is almost Christmas time and another anniversary has passed. I had my hysterectomy three years ago on November 14th and my wedding anniversary on November 30th married 23 years. He is the love of my life and my best friend. We have shared so much over the years the good and the bad wouldn't change any of it. Our daughter is the apple of our eye and at age 16 she is still a great kid. No boy trouble yet and the grades are very good. The hysterectomy was very much needed and my husband is so thankful. I am so glad I had it done and I look forward to every new day. Having no more pain during sex is so wonderful. Life is so good and I am so happy now.

I have a best friend as do most of us. She and I have shared good and bad times. I know in all relationships there are secrets but what could be so bad that it would make you loose contact. I have not talked to her in months and every time I try she is unreachable. She has family here in the city I live in and strange enough I have not been able to reach any of them. Her home phone and cell are disconnected she no longer works at her job tried to call her at her desk and some one else answered the phone. I was given another phone number by her ex sister in law and it is disconnected also. It's like she had dropped off the face of the earth. I will admit she did get a loan from me but that is no big deal we are not talking thousands of dollars. I know at one point there was some trouble in her marriage. We have been friends for so many years so I just can't wrap my brains around it. I don't want or need to know all her business but I would like to know that she is ok. My husband my sisters and my family are blowned away no one understands what is up with her. I miss her we were so connected and it is so strange.

My family sisters brother their husbands wives and kids along with our mother went on vacation. We rented an eight bedroom cabin in Tennessee. We had a blast the cabin was at the top of the mountians a breath taking view. We didn't leave the cabin much it was so beautiful. We cooked played games and relaxed. The cabin had eleven tvs, several dvd players, pool table, foose ball, air hockey, two fire places and a hot tub. The cabin was three levels and each floor had a balcony. I would say this was a great vacation and it is good that we all get along so well.

This is a new year and another birthday number 49. I am doing well and really enjoying life. My daughter also had a birthday in March she is 16. The joy of my life and a driver now, I'm loving it I just let her take me where I want to go so now she knows how it feels for someone to say take me here or take me there LOL. Lucky for me I am the cool mom and the one that dosen't look her age so her friends love me. One of them asked if I was as old as her mom, I said how old is she her answer was 38 I said bless you child. When I told her my age she said no way I said oh yes just great genes. Spending time with my daughter and her friends help keep me young. I hope that I am being the best mom I can to help her through the teen years.

Christmas was wonderful this year we went to my younger sisters house. There was 25 of us my mother all her children their spouses and most of her grandchildren. We had a great time we didn't do a dinner we had finger foods. Cheese & crackers, meatballs, hot wings, meat & cheese tray, vegetable tray, punch and all types of deserts. When the grazing was over we open gifts, with such a large family we pull names for the adults and we all buy for the kids. My mother says family is so important and she is lucky that we all live in the same state. She is the one that keeps all of us together by reminding us to be close and spend time together. Our children are very close and love to visit each other there truly is nothing like family.

On November 30th celebrated our 22nd anniversary, we dated for 4 years so I have been with my husband for 26 years. I look back and think how fast the years went by, of course we have both changed but we work well together. We have had our ups and downs trying to get pregnant and dealing with the stress. We were seven years into our marriage when we adopted our daughter. Two years prior we built our house and you know that was stressful, I wanted a livingroom and he wanted a garage so we got both. He is my best friend and I was very lucky to find him. The next topic of discussion will be what type of car to buy our daughter so we will see how it goes. There are still some good men out there thank God I found mine.

There is someone like this at every job. He or she always come to work late, then after they sign in they have to go get something to drink or go to the bathroom. When they start to work it's 15 or 20 mins after everyone else. They get on the internet to do all of their personal business while others are doing the work. Makes lots of personal phone calls and does her banking on the phone. The boss never says anything to them and acts like nothing is happening. Some days I want to knock the you know what out of her. Co-workers like that just make me sick.

Today I am just enjoying the beautiful day the weather is great. School started three weeks ago my 15 year old is in 10th grade and is stressing the Daddy out. She is tall very busty and looks older than she is. My hubby is going bananas so worried about the boys. I told him to chill out, she is a good girl and we will have to cross that bridge when we come to it. We had the talk a few years ago and she knows the rules. As of now there isn't any boys calling the house, she is a good student and her focus is her studies right now. She has her permit so I let her drive as much as I can, that is another thing to drive the daddy crazy. Ladies give me some feed back I think the hubby is more of a problem when it comes to this than her LOL.

I have been on vacation went to Philadelphia Pa to visit my 93 year old grandfather, other family and some friends. He is doing well for a man his age and he still loves the women. The weather was very hot and the food was great but if you want sweet tea it is not the place to be. I forgot that it is mostly the southerners who like ice tea and we want it sweet. Did some shopping and lots of walking in the east end of Center City. Some good friends of mine were in town so we really had a good time. Flying is still a big headache my first flight was delayed then we boarded then we had to get off the plane and it canceled, I flew out the next day nonstop thank goodness. My flight back had a connection and it was hell trying to get to my gate before we boarded made it just in time. I think we all should have some free time without the spouse or the children. I take a vacation every year alone usually I meet up with my girlfriends. I have my own hotel room so after the shopping eating and partying I can relax and enjoy some quiet time. I just want to remind all the ladies to take some time for yourself it is a great thing. When I get back home my husband and I are both ready for time together and it is amazing.

I am very very grateful to still have a living Mother she will be 71 this year. She has had a lot of health issues in her life but she is doing well for her age. Her only surgeries were a tubal and a cholecystectomy, still has her ovaries and her uterus. She had no female problems as I and my sisters did. I asked her what she wanted for Mother's Day and her reply was to wake up and see my children. She has buried two biological childrens and a step daughter and she says that is not something she want's to have to do again. She is such a joy to have around I love her so much. We take this one day a year to celebrate and we should do it every day. I know so many people that don't have a Mother and we should never take them for granted. I want to wish you all a Happy Mother's Day rather we have children are not at some point we have been a Mother figure to someone.

So it is spring time it is 84 degs here in South Carolina. I love this time of the year but it does not love me. I have asthma and allergies so the pollen is killing me. In this part of the country the pollen count is very high. Asthma is a strange disease, most of the time I do very well and my inhalers work. The weather here changed quickly everything is blooming. The change in the season is not the only thing that can cause my attacks. I tell my co-workers to keep their cologne perfume and body spray to a limit. I know they don't get it but it is an irritant and it effects my lungs. I had a friend that died from asthma it is a very very serious disease. Please if you know anyone with COPD or any other chronic lung disease please be careful and thoughtful we just want to breath and enjoy life as best we can.

My birthday day was on March 10th one of my best yet. I feel great and am looking forward to my next one. I spent that day shopping with my daughter. Later that night my husband and I went to see her perform with her step team. I got a wonderful gift from my man a pair of three stone diamond earrings. I was blown away he is such a good man I feel so lucky to have him for a husband. He tells me all the time that my surgery was good for both of us, when I am happy the house is happy. I just want to tell all my sisters that life after a hysterectomy can be good. I know it can be slow go for some of us but it can get better with time.

I am so happy to have such a wonderful daughter in my life. She is my joy I am so pleased to be her mother. Adoption is such a great thing I am proud parent. Her birthday was on March 3rd she is 15 now, we got her when she was two weeks old. She is an A/B student a freshman in high school and she just got her permit. I look at her everyday and say thank you GOD for making my life complete.Yes I am dealing with some teenage things the attitude sometimes but I remember when I was that age. She is becoming quite the young lady she is my child heart and soul. I never knew love could be are feel this good. Mothers keep loving and taking care of all our wonderful children.

I think back to last year at this time my daughter and husband decorated the house for the holidays. I wanted so bad to do it as I did every year. Well this year I did it all and might I say it looks better than it ever has. I am stronger than I have been in years and I feel wonderful. I have my joy back, it was gone for a long time I was a sad unhealthy woman. This holiday season will be the first of many great ones to come. Life is so good and I hope all my sisters are doing well wishing you joy and happiness ladies.

My hubby and I celebrated our 21st anniversary on November 30th. So happy to be still with him, most of my friends have divorced and are on their second marriage. I was one lucky woman to find such a great man he has always been good to me. He is the love of my life and I love him more each day. Marriage is a wonderful thing but I know it's not for everybody. Life is good my health is the best it has been in years.

The one year mark I made it and I'm so happy. Looking forward to the thanksgiving holidays, my family all my sisters my brother their families and my mom are going to the beach. We leave on thanksgiving day, I love being there during this time. The beach is so nice and quiet in the fall unlike spring and summer. There will be 20 of us what a holiday it's good we all get along. Cooking eating and lounging around I can't wait to get there. This pass year I've had some ups and downs life is so good. This will be the first time in a long time I can really enjoy the beach.

I had a great weekend with my family, I'm enjoying the cooler weather. It's been eleven months since my surgery things get better every day. I was reading the threads of the women who said they were doing all kinds of things a few days after surgery. I know we all heal different and some faster than others. Surgery is a tricky thing and for those that haven't seen the bad side of it they have no concept. I know for a fact that things we do early after our surgey can come back to haunt us years later. Some have to come back for prolapse anterior or posterior repairs and other types of reconstruction. I took it easy so my body could heal, by no means was I a baby but I didn't do anything to cause me a set back. Life is too short to spend extra time in a hospital operating room, I do that enough with my job. I pray that we all do well and as I said before there really are no super women healing is part of the process and we should let our bodies heal. I'm doing very well feeling great and looking forward to my anniversary next month.

Woke up this morning to a cloudy cool day we had a little rain also. Missing my husband he is in Washington DC until Tuesday. My daughter and I went to church and then to my sisters house for dinner. The whole family was there we had a great time. My sister in law asked what I was doing to my hair and I said nothing. She made the comment that it looks longer and healthier. I told her yes it is but I haven't changed how I care for it. I'm still a few pounds heavier than I was before surgery but I feel great. I'm working on the weight doing it slowly. I keep saying it is the HRT but I need to quit kidding myself I do love good food. My family says they are just glad I'm in a better mood than I was eleven months ago. I must admit I am happier and I do have a better sex life since surgery. Hope all the ladies here and the visitors are doing great also.

Today is beautiful and sunny here in SC and I'm feeling wonderful. I've noticed my incision is getting thiner and flatter. It's been a little more than nine months since my surgery and I'm glad I did it. I love being in nice panties and white pants. I never wore white before my surgery I use to have too many accidents. I've been told by other men that I'm looking great and you know that is something we all want to hear. My husband and I are spending more time with each other because he says I have a better attitude. I have a better outlook at life than I did prior to my hysterectomy. I'm very hopeful that the other ladies are doing well also.

It's been eight months since my hysterectomy and I can truely say it's been a blessing. To be honest the first week after my surgery I thought I was going to die. I had the worst gas pains and no bowel movement for six days. I'm feeling better than I have in years, my husband says I'm a new woman and the sex is great. I can see lots of changes in my life and I'm much stronger now.
