In order to keep my mind off the upcoming surfery, I have been trying to get all my house chores done, so I won't worry about it while I recoup. Well, today I did way tooooo much and now I'm hurting more than I've ever hurt - and I haven't ever had the surfery yet! The cramps and sharp pains are crippling me. I think it's time for a hot jetta tub and a cup of tea.

I've been trying to stay busy while waiting for the TAH. I do my best not to think of the pain it will cause. I only remind myself of the pain it will ultimately relieve.

It seems odd - how all the pain began. July 18th the real pain began with a vengance. I had had small twinges of pain in the lower right side for nearly 6 months, but nothing to warrant concern. But late July the pain demanded my attention. The first of August I gave in and went to see my family Doc . He scheduled a Vaginal Ultrasound (uncomfortable). After that he referred me to a GYNO, who in turn scheduled a CatScan. Based on those results (which they really did not share with me, I was scheduled for a Exploratory Laproscopy. The photos showed Endometriosis, Fibriods, Cysts, and some other stuff that I can not pronouce or spell. The Right ovary looked black! The left ovary was white with yellowy cysts on it. The uterius looked angry - Red with inflammed bulges protruding from two directions.

He suggested a hysterectomy - although he doesn't normally like to do them on women my age (43), he said it really needed to be done. He decided to schedule it for ASAP following complete healing from the ExLap. The surgery is set for November 12th.

It has been eight weeks since the ExLap and now it is the left ovary (the good looking one) that's giving me all the pain. I still have the other pains, but it is the left side that is kicking my butt now. I guess the other parts are too sick too put up a fuss. It has to be the healthest of the bunch to raise hell now.

I can't wait to have this over with. I'm ready to get back to my life the way it was before all the pain and fatigue. Monday is the day! The count down is on!

Today, get caught up on the laundry and clean the downstair. Tomorrow, I clean the upstairs rooms and finish paperwork and pay bills. Sunday will be family day with church and relaxing.

Monday will be here before I know it.
