I forgot all about my journal 02-09-2006 - 05:04 AM
I haven't journalled for so long, it scares me! I'm still around the same weight I was in april, figured out the constipation issues, am eating a higher fibre diet now, and that is helping. also taking milkthistle to help the liver process and that is making things a lot better, more energy and feeling slimmer, even if weight isn't exactly dropping off!
Just throwing off a chest infection here, so exercise has been out of the window, but hoping to pick that back up in the next week or 2!

hope you are all well, and will check in again soon!

Won't leave it so long next time!

Halfway thru April! 04-15-2005 - 10:44 AM
Hi!

been a bit low lately, had to abandon gym mid work out, due to feeling ill. I took myself off to bed for a couple of hours, and realised when I woke up that I was really bunged up, and had a lot of tummy pain. I always went daily, and now I seem to go every 3 days, and then go 3 times in that day, and this isn't much good, as it hurts the old tum! I managed to get in with the gp today! and she gave me a month of cipralex, and not the generic, 6 months of HRT oestradiol 1mg, and stuff called fybogel, its orange flavour, Its a natural fibre drink containing ispaghula husk. You mix with 1/4 pint water, and it maintains regularity. I've got a months worth to try, so I'll be using it. I drink plenty of water, and eat plenty of fruit and veg, but she said in menopause, we sometimes need a little help when our system slows itself down.

Hopefully this will rid me of the bunged up feeling I've been getting lately, even though I'm not constipated.
God bless you all! Where else could I discuss poop etc, and nobody minds in the least!

s Glad I'm halfway to solving my latest problem!!

April already 04-04-2005 - 01:42 PM
Well, April has started, and I missed a couple of days.
Life seems to be passing me by so quickly, and yet tonight, I am so fed up, and lonely. I've scoured this site for new posts at least 3 times. I can't get out, and I'm craving chocolate, or just something sweet, and I've made sure there's nothing available in the house.
I don't know if this is contributing to my mood, or what?? I didn't have a very good sleep last night, so that hasn't helped either.
i don't know, what's a girl to do? i shouldn't be feeling sorry for myself, as there's a lot worse off than me, and I don't really have much to moan about compared to others.
Hopefully I'll get to the gym tomorrow, that should help! Oh well, maybe I'll find a good book to read upstairs! Off to bed I go, and its not even 9pm yet!!

a week into march 03-08-2005 - 03:18 PM
Hey, where did the rest of february go? Its a week into march already....hmm!
Lost 2lbs overall in feb, and 1lb so far in march.
Not doing brilliantly with the no goodies for lent thing, had a few slipups, but not eating anywhere as many goodies as I used to. I'm still keeping up with my 5 miles a day on my exercise, and for the last 2 weeks, have managed to fit in a trip to the gym. I'm having trouble fitting this in, I'm aiming to go twice a week, but it's awfully hard when you're on your own!
Had a gammy ankle the last couple of weeks, must've been needing progesterone cream, used it for 4 days, pain gone now.
Got off one plateau, where I've not been able to get past 11 stone, I'm now 10 st 13lbs. My weight is now 153lbs, so my next plateau is to get to 149lbs.
I'm not going to do this overnight. If I keep losing the 1lb every other week, I figured that I should have lost it by 3 may. That's kind of my next log term target, to get under 150. If I'm under it by end may at the latest, I'll be really pleased..........

half way through feb 02-13-2005 - 02:50 PM
Well, I'm halfway through feb, and doing quite well, keeping my lentern challenge to not eat any cake, biscuits, goodies, and to do at least 5 miles on my bike every day.
I've missed a couple of days on my bike, due to time constraints, and being really, really busy lately.
Really resisting the comfort eating, and no absent minded munching of nothing.
HRT is going well, I'm sleeping better, and therefore have more energy, have even taken my dog Billy out every day this month so far.
Hoping that the scales will show a loss when I get on there next, sometime next week!

January, 2005 02-03-2005 - 12:17 AM
Hi!
Had a not too great January, struggled all month with menopausal symptoms. Finally got in to see the doc, who has ordered FSH, LH, TSH blood tests.
Weighed myself, to get a starting point, and 2 feb, I started a 3 month course of elleste, 1mg oestradiol.
Am feeling a little nauseous with this, but hoping to get past these side effects soon. I am optimistic that I will be feeling better soon.
