it's official, surgery cancelled

Just got off the phone with the receptionist, it is official, my surgery is cancelled for good. I have an appt on OCt 28 with a new OBGYN. I am still absolutely clueless. DH says that I did nt kiss drs rearend enough when she cancelled my surgery yesterday. I do beleive that she thinks she is GOD. Oh well, I will find a better dr, it wasnt meant to be. I did tell the receptionist that the fact that the dr wouldnt even call me reflects poorly on the group as a whole. I have used that group for 20 yrs and this snotty dr cant be more than 28 yrs old. I just dont get it. I wasnt rude, angry yes, rude , no. oh,well, it will all work out in the long run.

thanks for the prayers

Hon, I am so sorry this happened to you.

But, I am a firm believer in everything happens for a reason. If this woman is not willing to do your surgery, then it is for the best. With this type of surgery, you really need to have complete trust in your surgeon.

Only after going through 3 or 4 other gynecologists did I find Prince Charming. I somehow knew that he was the RIGHT doc for me. He did have my best interest at heart, and in this day of dr. shortages, he thought nothing of talking with me in his office for 30 - 40 minutes until I was sure I understood everything. He also thought nothing of returning my phonecalls from his HOME at 8 or 9pm, when he got home from a day of surgery.

I am so glad that you are already set for an appt with another doc. Try to put this ugliness behind you, and know that the universe has a plan for you.

This was meant to be. I called the same office that I made an appt with on the 28th (but I called the office closer to my home)and they updated my appt to the 20th. Now who has ever heard of getting into a dr's office in 5 days as a new patient? This must be meant to be.
please keep me in your prayers, my nerves are not what they should be.

thank you
missy

Oh, Missy --

I'm SO glad you found someone so quickly. Hopefully, the whole process will go more smoothly this time. There was a good reason, I'm sure. Maybe it was just so you can be properly treated as a princess, LOL. Anyway, for things to fall into place this easily is a good sign that you are moving in the right direction I think. We'll just keep praying!

Grace & peace,

Terry

Missy,

I also think it was meant to be! When I first talked to the doctor about scheduling my surgery it was supposed to be on the 8th and his nurse reminded him that he already had 5 patients scheduled that day. The next available date was the 28th and I felt that happened for a reason and everything turned out great!

I wish you the very best with your new doctor and appointment next week! Please, keep us posted!

Missy,
I guess I am one of the lucky ones. I went to my doc yesterday and he scheduled me right then, no questions asked. He knows what I have been through and I now have an appt. to have the nasty thing removed on Oct. 25th. Just keep me in your prayers...the only hold up is if the insurance doesn't approve it!!

And you wanted this lady to do your surgery, sounds like your better off without her, unfortunatley you have to be patient , and start the proces all over again. It will happen when its time.Good luck. My surgery was cancelled as well than I was reschedualed and all has worked out for the better for more reasons than one, and I'm glad it was reshedualed, but back then when it happen I was furious and angry. Things happen the way they do for a reason. Good luck with your quest

I'm praying for you.

I totally agree -- this is probably the best thing that could have happened to you. While I'm sorry you have to wait longer, you will no doubt be in better hands when it comes time to do the surgery!

Keep the faith.
