still waiting on path report from 2/24 surgery but...

I finally got a copy of the path repot from my 1/24 D&C, that led to the LAVH on 2/24.

it pretty much says what my doctor told me, but it's much scarier reading it that hearing it...

endometriod adenocarcenoma, predominantly well differentiated with rare foci of high grade cytology, focal mucinous and squamous differentiation seen; background exhibits complex atypical hyperplasia....in rare places, the cytology is high grade raises a possibility of clear cell/papillary differentiation.

can't wait to read the path report from the 2/24 surgery.

I understand your want for your lab report. I had my surgery 2/25 (TVH), and my Doctor just called me this morning to tell me that my lab results were negative for cancer and any further signs of dysplasia(which I have been dealing with for almost 4 years). I didnt relize how much of an inpact the report had, untill I hung up the phone and just broke down in tears. This has been "looming" over my head for so long, with so much uncertainty. I have had many pos. and neg. pap reports, to the point where I have been on pins and needles more then I knew. Anyway, I wisih you the best news possible when you get it. I support your want for the news to arrive soon. My prayers for the news to be positive.

I can relate to the way you feel. I had my TVH a year ago. I was home healing with no problems went in for my first post op appointment at two weeks after surgery. The doctor came in examined me, talked to me and then said get dress and meet me in my office around the corner. I thought he wanted to tell me something but the thought of cancer never crossed my mind. When he told me I was in shock to say the least. I had my kids in the waiting room because school was out that day. How in the world I knew to ask for a copy of my pathology report is beyond me but I did. When I got home I went over and over that report. I looked up every word on it in the Medical Dictionary and then I started searching the web for info. by the time I got done I was a basket case.

All of that to say, take a friend with you or a family member when you go for the next report they can absorb the information better than you will be able to.
