gallbladder

Hi. It's been 1 year since my hysterectomy. I too had gallbladder problems, but mine started as a teenager. I had terrible pain on the right side just under the rib cage. Doctors all said the same thing, stress. I can remember the only thing that would relieve the pain, would be to make myself throw up, and I had to do this while I was pregnant. I never had morning sickness. Then when I turned 40, I had a real bad episode of stones. They went and cleaned the stones out and widened the ducts, and said lets take this out in a couple of months. I lasted about 2 more weeks, drove myself to the hospital. Normally this would have been maybe an overnight stay. Well I went to the hospital on Wednesday evening, had to wait until Friday to have the surgery, and then my bladder would not cooperate, and did not go home until Sunday. The point of my story is don't let Dr's tell you it is stress. I had symptoms for 20 years, but never when I had an appointment with a Dr. You know your body best. Good luck to all of you.

gall bladder problems

I had to have my gallbladder out 7 1/2 weeks after my BSO. Surgeon said it was probably what was making me sick all along and they just lucked upon the big ovarian cyst while doing a CAT scan because I wasn't getting well from what they suspected was Diverticulitis. Sure wish I had been completely healed from one surgery or the other before I had the next one. Too much going on at once and not knowing what is making me hurt at any one time.
