Anybody else at 5 weeks?

Is anyone taking estrogen now? I'm taking Cenestin and it seems to be pretty good. Is there any herbal or home remedy that you have tried?

Has anyone tried the swelly belly band?

Hope you all are feeling better today.

AB.

Punkie98 , not that I am happy that you feel miserable too, but it does help to know I am not alone.

Kalzan, I had the Monarc sling as well. I've read good things about them and talked to a couple of people who had them without any complications. After googling to read the process in which they're put in, I'm thinking the pubic bone tenderness is definately from the sling.

Mojoy2k,
Yes, I still get bloated from gas, too. But I attribute it to the "extras" I'm taking in to prevent constipation--excess fiber, veggies and fruits, prune juice, even a ton of water. They're all gas-forming substances, but a price I'm willing to pay for now if it keeps the constipation away.

Anybody else at 5 weeks?

Hi Fellow 5-weekers! I will be 5 weeks tomorrow, and I went back to work 1 week ago today. I had the laparscopic, which doesn't seem to require as much down time. I have to be honest - I feel pretty much GREAT! I still get tired at the end of the day, and I'm not lifting anything heavy. Yesterday I felt a little sore inside my abdominal area, but nothing 2 motrin didn't knock out. Incisions are looking great and I feel really really good. Sometimes I still get a little swelly belly, but otherwise, I have zero complaints!

Anybody else at 5 weeks?

Hi sisters!! I had a TVH so don't have the abdominal incision and pain that accompanies that. For the most part I feel pretty good--have been virtually pain free from the beginning since it was a TVH. I kept my ovaries and have ovulated since the surgery. I had that twinge and my breasts were really tender as they were before when I would ovulate. It seems that I feel the best when I go to the park and walk around the lake. The beauty of my surroundings in the spring and the nice weather help my mood immensly. I go for my 6 wk post op visit May 3rd and hopefully will be released to go back to work. I am an RN and will be back in OBGyne-- with the new sisters like us. I will recommend this site to my patients. I hope you all continue to heal and with each new day feel better.

Anybody else at 5 weeks?

I am at 5 weeks and had my post op yesterday. I was very concerned about my energy level and sometimes would be in bed by 7:30. My Dr. told me I expected to much to fast. It takes time to get back into your normal life style and that I should take everything slowly. I shouldn't feel guilty if I fall asleep at 7:30. It's major surgery and it will probably be 6 months before you feel 100% again. He made me feel alot better about my recovery time. I thought I was just being a wimp!
