Endometrial Cancer

I saw my GP yesterday and she said that she refers perhaps 50 patients with similar symptons to mine and its only about 1 in 50 that have anything that needs treatment. I thnak god that I acted and she acted when we did, a year down the line it could have been very very different.
Jisharp your situation is sad not having had children, my decision was easier, I have completed my family.

My only symptom was post-menopausal bleeding (I went through early menopause at 43 which runs in my family). It started as light spotting, but got continually heavier. I was fortunate to have had a gyn who knew exactly what to look for. I had an abnormal pap smear (HPV negative), then an intravaginal ultrasound, and 2 weeks after that a D&C and hysteroscopy. And a week before my 47th birthday I was at the doctor's office getting my dx of uterine cancer.
