Is anybody there?

I'm new to hys sis. I happen to discover it during my search on imformation on a drug that i was using called IMIPRAMINE. I was really pleased to find an encouraging bunch of women who all share some one thing or more in common. I praise God that I have someone to talk to who has been in or going to be in my shoes. Anyway, the dr put me on this to strink the bladder head. I've been experiencing some leakage. He thought that might be the case. However, I'm sad to say I don't think so. Anyway , has anyone ever taken this drug? If so, have you suffered a loss in your sex drive while on it? I thought it might have been due to me having one functional ovary. But I remember the last time I had a good orgasm and it was before i started taking this drug. Maybe, it could be my ovary. Is it possible to experience menopausal symptoms at the age of 29? Or is it possible for one ovary to not produce enough hormones needed for my body? I'll have to bring this up on my next post-op appt. I'd like to hear your opinion on the matter.

Is anybody there?

Dear Pamela, I haven't had any bladder problems since my surgery, but there are many who read these message boards who have had problems. I don't know if any of them are taking the same drug you are, but I'm sure someone will respond. You might want to post your questions about hormones on the Hormone Jungle board. In the meantime, I hope you can get some answers about the medication you are taking. {{{{{Pamela}}}}} <----that's a hug, from me to you. Best wishes,

Is anybody there?

Hi
Imipramine is a antidepressant, but it is believed to help relax the bladder from contracting at inappropriate times. So a side effect of antidepressants is low sex drive. Why hasn't your doctor rechecked you for a fistula? I would insist on that immediately. It is the first thing he should of checked if you have had surgery for it once already.

Good luck to you and I hope you find out what is causing your incontinence soon! Keep in touch.....
