Watery light brownish discharge

I am 3 weeks today post LAVH and I am not bleeding per say anymore, but if I exert myself or have a B/M or full bladder I have a somewhat watery light brownish discharge kind of like the left overs of a cup of coffee and it has a very particular odour, very earthy, not foul, but a d*****ate odour. Is this just caused from pressure or over exerting and is just pushing out this liquid from the surgery site? If i am very still and do nothing it pretty much doesn't do anything, but the moment I exert or go to the bathroom it comes out?? Help!

Re: Watery light brownish discharge

I had the same thing. It did go away. It would happen everytime I had a BM or even walked really far. I am four weeks, and it has stopped.

Re: Watery light brownish discharge

It sounds similar to what I had as well. I'm 5 weeks post-op and there is still something coming away.

Hi (((lapcox)))

Some of us experience this as our stitches are dissolving. The odor may also be from the stitches. If the odor becomes foul, just make sure to follow up with your doctor. All of that extra moisture is a good environment for yeast and bacteria. Take care!

Thanks for your reply, it is not foul but not nice either, i was worried it might be an infection but everything else seems to be on track. It is hard to describe as it is not like old blood it is totally different. Somewhat like the color of weak tea.

Re: Watery light brownish discharge

I'm six weeks post-op and I am still experiencing this.. sometimes I only see it when I wipe, other times it feels like a menstrual flow. I saw my doc for six-week followup yesterday and says this is normal but that if it is still happening three months post-op, to come back in to be looked at. It only means you are still healing..
