Post menopausal having cysts/ovaries removed.

I have a complex cyst on my left ovary. I'm having surgery for removal of both ovaries in a few weeks. I have not had a period for 12 months. I received a phone call from a"RN/Patient Advocate" from my insurance company today. In a nutshell, she told me It sounded ODD to her that I'm not scheduled for full hysterectomy rather than "just" an oophorectomy.
Now I am confused. I will talk to my GYN & PCP asap, but for the time being....does this make sense to anyone? According to 'Patient Advocate' "Why not have cervix & uterus removed as long as you are having ovaries removed AND you are
in menopause."
