Re: Why is it like this???

Hi,

I'm only a few days in to being told I have to have the op and I'm already thinking like this!

I had to remind myself that I have been on GonaPeptyl or the last 4 months and that once I have my last jab on the 18th, things will go back to (ab)normal. Even on this medication I'm bleeding evry few days and having pains, but comparitively it seems nothing!

I think our minds like to play tricks on us.

Good luck for your surgery,

Lola

Re: Why is it like this???

I feel the same way! I am going back and forth on this decision even after the second opinion. It's a scary thing and it doesn't help when your period is better all of the sudden either. I know it's for the best but there are the constant "What If's" running in the back of your head. I went in for my pre-op appointment yesterday and had to bring my girls because I couldn't find a babysitter. I got evil looks from everyone in the clinic, even though my girls were well behaved. They made us wait over an Hour 1/2 because they said there wasn't room for us. By the time we got in, the doctor was running late and was rushing everything. I didn't learn anything new and was very disapointed. I start to wonder if it's all some kind of sign that I'm not suppost to get it done. I'm a little superstitious. Just when I feel I have made up my mind something comes along and makes me nervous. I'm up and down about it but I think this is perfectly normal! It isn't easy letting go of your woman parts. No body wants to live in pain. Recovery will be tough, but we just have to remind ourselves about all of the years of pain and suffering we've had to go through. It will only get better after recovery! Good Luck!!!
