upcoming hysterectomy

Hello All,

I have a hysterectomy scheduled for February 21, 2002. I will keep my ovaries and have also opted to keep my cervix. I'm very afraid of this surgery even though I have had 3 c-sec and a tubal. I am very nervous as time gets closer. Please someone send me some encouraging words

I've had 2 C-sections and a laproscopic procedure with tubal and D&C and hysteroscopy. My hyst was much easier than the sections painwise - just takes a little longer to feel less tired and more back to normal. But then again, I didn't get a baby with this surgery to keep my mind off me. There was a little more discomfort than with the other surgery. Hope this gives you some idea of what to expect about the kind of pain you might have. But then again, everyone has different pain thresholds. I wish you an uneventful castle stay & a speedy recovery.
