need my ovaries removed but scared to take hormones

Has anyone been on HRT and weaned themselfs off succsessfully. I had a partial Hysterectomy in 07. I now need my ovaries out but am scared to take the hormones. Any advice or recommendations?

What is your doctor suggesting for HRT or HRT alternatives? Have you had a second opinion about having your ovaries removed and what your HRT or HRT alternatives might be?

You might try looking for a doctor who specializes in menopausal issues and ask for some advice on this topic before you make your final decision. Then you could have a plan in place for managing your symptoms in a way that makes you feel comfortable!
