A little puss after removal of staples?

After my staples were removed, the next day I noticed a little sticky yellow drainage coming from one area of my incision. It was my first soaking bath. I wondered if it was something dry that just ran after being wet or something new. The next day I didn't notice any drainage. I didn't contact the doctor because he already thinks I worry too much. Have any of your experienced this?

I meant to type pus (yellow discharge) not puss. No wonder there hasn't been any responses.

Growth, are you sure it was pus? It could be the skin trying to grow over the incisions, I had raw skin "slip through and look yellowish, but it was just stuff the skin produces to grow outer kin on it.
Make sure it doesn't turn into an infection (redness, hot skin...)

Re: A little puss after removal of staples?

When my dermabond (glue) started to come off i had a yellowish stickiness on my incision too. I called the doc and they said it was perfectly normal.

Signs of infection would be yellow or yucky drainage, very very sore, warm or hot to the touch, possibly with a fever, and feeling of overall yuckiness.

I would just watch it, mostly likely it is nothing of concern.
