Delayed Hot Flashes, Anyone Else?

I am coming up on 3 years post complete hyster. and am experiencing a lot of hot flashes. Have not had an issue before. I have worked very hard over this summer at my weight and have finally lost 35 lbs. have more to go.

I have low thyroid issues for years, and used HCG to aid in weight loss, used homopathic, now on prescription nasal, the nasal is too expensive for me, $252.00 for 30 days. So this will be a one time shot at the nasal.

Anyway the thyroid issue has been corrected for now, I believe it has do with several things I have changed but the HCG does metabolism going. I am off of prescription for low thyroid for the first time in 6 years. I have turned 50 is it just my time for the flashes?

Re: Delayed Hot Flashes, Anyone Else?

Estrogen is stored in fat cells, so if you had your ovaries out you had stores of estrogen in your body that your body was used to. If you recently have lost weight then you may be very low on estrogen, and this may have given you the symptoms of hot flashes. Also some medications or supplements we take can affect the body and cause changes, so getting off of something and changing to something else could affect all hormones in the body.

You might see your doctor if you are finding it difficult to handle the hot flashes.

Hang in there
