Someone's gotta be from Massachusetts!!!

Hi ZB & all,

Looks like my gall bladder is going to come out next! Haven't set a date yet! Man, I'm so tired of MD's, love 'em, but I'm tired of 'em!

Someone's gotta be from Massachusetts!!!

Hello Z B and all,

I'm trying to "hold off" I really don't want to miss any more work than I already have . . . I'm a teacher and I just keep thinking about the kids - and I'm really watching my diet. But I will let you know when, because it's just a matter of time . . .

Re: Someone's gotta be from Massachusetts!!!

No one has written since April 2011 but I'm also in MA, so I wanted to post. I'm 32, got my TVH on the 27th of July. Love my doctor because she is a genius. I'm glad that is over with and I'm ready to get back to work and contribute to society. I need to deal now with the pain I've developed in my legs after I got home from the hospital (seems to be a temporary nerve damage) but I guess I deserve it because nobody told me to walk so much the day after surgery... then again I have no car. I should be applying for jobs in a month or so...and I can't wait!

Just wanted to share my happiness...

Re: Someone's gotta be from Massachusetts!!!

Hi Everyone,

South Shore here bordering Plymouth and Sagamore. 38 year old homeschool mom with three children who are 12, 9 and 7. 10 days post op. Had TAH and tumor removal from left ovary. Right ovary was healthy so I got to keep it. There are good and bad days. Feeling frustrated from the non activity and pain. Pain gets worse in the evening. Finding it hard to be able to shower without help from hubby still. Vertical sutures are very clean looking and steri strips still in tact. Having some hot flashes. Going for post op visit next Tuesday.

Hope you are all recovering well.

Best always,

Stef

Re: Someone's gotta be from Massachusetts!!!

Hi Sorry you had to go through that. I had a my hyst 4 years ago! It took a long time to feel "normal" again. I'm in MA on the New Hampshire line.

Good luck @ your MD's!

Re: Someone's gotta be from Massachusetts!!!

Hello Hystersisters! I'm from the Salem/Saugus area. Havent had a hysterectomy yet, am still trying to find a doctor I feel comfortable with. Did anyone else have a hard time with that? This whole thing is pretty scary. You hear so much about the after-affects, physically, mentally, emotionally.

Re: Someone's gotta be from Massachusetts!!!

I had a great MD @ Lahey Clinic, unfortunately she's in NYC. The nurses were fantastic, they made my short stay very comfortable. My MD and others were constantly checking in on me.

Good luck with your choice!
