I had mine done at UMC on August 26th and everything went very well. They were wonderful! It takes time to heal so make sure you take it easy for the first 6 weeks. After the 5th week I felt that I was finally on the up hill. Good luck. I'll be praying for you.
If you've not already done so, please check out our <link> Post-Op Support Forum where you'll find all the other ladies recovering from surgery, and feel free to start a new thread there if you have any concerns. (To start a new thread, just click on the "New Topic" button which is located at the top and bottom left of that forum’s main page, or click here). We also have a Post-Op Page which is packed with information, too.
Please take a moment, however, to add the surgery date to your profile in order to take full advantage of the site's support features. Many are triggered by this and it's not too late to benefit from some of them. You can do that by visiting your User Control Panel, or clicking here. Remember to then scroll down and “save changes”.
We’ll look forward to seeing you over on the hysterectomy message boards for any support discussions or questions, but hope you'll enjoy topics unrelated to surgery and recovery here in Neighborhoods!
