Re: Joint and body aches, numbness in hands and feet

Did you know, you can still have low thyroid symptoms even with a normal thyroid level?

My levels are "in the normal range" but right on the low marker and I am on 2.5 grains of thyroid. It seems mine is not working, I am not converting my thyroid meds, just one more thing to figure out, but it just might be the whole thing.

Re: Joint and body aches, numbness in hands and feet

I have the same symptoms - hand/arm and foot/leg numbness and tingling and muscle aches! Also diagnosed as carpal tunnel and carpal tunnel-like nerve problems on my elbows and legs. But I an on ERT, still working on the right dose. Also just found out that although my thyroid levels are within normal range, my thyroid binding levels are high, so that needs some work. I'm sorry that others are having similar issues, but glad to know I'm not going (totally!) crazy!

Re: Joint and body aches, numbness in hands and feet

Well i saw my oncologist last week, and told him all my problems and physical symptoms i'm having, but he's not going to prescribe any hormone replacement because of my breast cancer in 2006, Sooooooo, it seems the only thing that's going to help, is my diet, need to lose about 20 pounds, and
need to stay very physically active, no matter how much joint pain i have, he says i should just take the tylenol arthritis for a month, and of course vitamins. my thyroid is normal, and everything else. I will let y'all know how everything is progressing,

Re: Joint and body aches, numbness in hands and feet

Hi, I just wanted to say that I asked my neurologist for an rx for PT for my carpal tunnel and related probs on my arms and lower legs. Saw the PT yesterday and he was amazing. My carpal tunnel, etc is caused by "neural tension" and he gave me exercises to help the nerve glide smoothly in the muscles instead of getting stuck and irritated. So I just wanted to post in case PT might be an option for someone else.
