dVH/RALH 2 days post-operatively

Hello Sisters!
I am two days into the recovery process after having the Davinci Robotic assisted hysterectomy. I had to stay over night the day of surgery for observation. Anesthesia and I have never gotten
along very well. Anyways I was having a terrible time with gas, and found BEANO is wonderful! I also need milk of magnesia to have a #2. All good in that area now. Belly is swollen and so are my ankles and feet. I am only taking ibuprofen during the day and a hydrocodone tab at night to help me sleep. I am up doing some light walking and I also took a shower. Feel very tender and sore nothing that is totally unbearable. The surgeon also took my appendix...saw it was about to burst. I am on a light diet for about a week. I am looking forward to being pain free...Good Luck to all

Rest, rest, rest!! Best wishes for an uneventful recovery! Don't be fooled by DaVinci. Your cuts are smaller, but you still have all the same healing inside to do. take care of yourself!
