Re: How much did your uterus weigh?

My dr told me it was 25 cm and weighed 2200 grams which equals 5 lbs. I lost 25 lbs and my jeans are too big. I feel like a whole new person.

Re: How much did your uterus weigh?

Unfortunately, mine was huge at 4 pounds. But I'm guessing that is with all the fluid in it. I asked the doctor to take a picture and she showed my after. I can't even figure out where that all fit and why I stayed asymptomatic. The fact that I was asymptomatic is probably the reason I waited so long and it got so big.

How big was your uterus?

Before surgery every time I was checked internally a couple of different doctors told me with concern that my uterus was VERY enlarged. I did hemorrhage a week before surgery and I dont know if that really would change anything very much however, I was kind of surprised that my uterus only weighed 149 Grams and was 103x64x44mm.
By the doctors reactions and how I felt I thought that it would be absolutely huge.

So if you dont mind sharing how large was your uterus and what was your diagnosis?

Re: How big was your uterus?

I am not sure how much it weighed, but doc said my uterus was the size of my head! It was cut into 41 pieces to be removed. Usually 4-5 pieces is what it takes to get a normal sized one out she said. I thought that was amazing. No wonder I was so uncomfortable. It was hiding more to the back of my body. I was always having back pain and causing pain into my legs all the way down into my feet! She was really surprised. My tummy wasn't very big.

Re: How big was your uterus?

From my pathology report it said it was a whopping 424 grams. Mine was also cut up in order for them to remove it vaginally. I was shocked as well as I've had constipation issues for years and this big sucker was probably the culprit. I googled it and it says average is 70 grams, but I'm not real sure what size it should be.

Re: How big was your uterus?

Mine just says a normal fibroid appearing uterus. No weight. chronic inflamation of the cervix with nabothian cysts, endometrial polyps, fibroids and adenomyosis. Glad to be on the other side. My uterus and I haven't been friends for a long time.

Re: How big was your uterus?

Mine was 560grams and full of fibroids with the largest 9cm in diameter. It's amazing how much lighter I feel in the pelvic area.

Re: How big was your uterus?

Okay...I am embarrassed to say... (drum roll please) ... 1kilogram = 2.5 pounds My uterus was to big to be pulled out vaginally. Thank the Lord for my surgeon
.. She went and got a morcilator to cut it up and pull it through a laproscopic hole instead of converting to an abdominal cut. I of course have more pain around that incision which my doc told me to expect.

Hugs and Happy Healing
