Do I Need Ab Support / Tummy Wrap?

First off, let me say this site is AWESOME. I've been writing about my nerves etc pre-op, and getting feedback from others in same place has been so helpful. At least I know I'm not insane right now.
I asked my Dr if I needed any kind of tummy wrap for post-op and he said no....but I've seen a lot of info about them here. Does anyone have any personal advice for me there?

I was one who didnt get one...at first. Let me just say the binder has been invaluable. I didnt realize how much my stomach jiggled during walking or riding in the car or how uncomfortable it would be. I did too much walking today and my pelvic area hurt. i put the binder on and it has helped alot to keep the pressure off of my pelvic area. I got the $20 without the heat/cold packs and that was sufficient for me.

Yes! I didn't at first and still haven't. I did however get tummy control tank tops. That goddess! And what a blessing at night! its just a little extra support. Also my friend got the underwear with support in the top. She loves them.
