Hot flash meds questions

I read that Methyldopa and Clonidine can help with hot flashes. Would Verapamil also help?

Are Methyldopa and Clonidine well tolerated/safe?

I have not tried any of these medications. I use Benecar for blood pressure and it does not have any side effects. Benecar does not affect hot flashes for me one way or another.
You can do a Search here on this site to see what threads come up on Clonidine and other meds. Maybe someone will come along who uses one of the medications you have mentioned. I believe Clonidine has been used by several people on this site for hot flashes and had pretty good results. Everyone is different in that some may benefit from it and others may not.
