Re: Anyone else in their 30ies???
Misty...
I also used to have severe migraines, which I still do, please have your thyroid checked. I was put on a thyroid hormone several years ago and I don't have headaches everyday anymore. I
do not know a lot about PCOS except that the only "real" cure is a hysterectomy. I myself have suffered with severe cramps and bleeding all of my menstrual life with my long list of problems and I just have had enough. I now cramp all month long, still with 10 day periods.
Do you know what method they want to use and do you have any support system around, with the texception of us
I do not know much about your background, but if you have PCOS, this could change your life for the better.
I too am scared of all of the unknowns, but am hoping for the relief I need. This has been hard for me to come to terms with, but I've talked to my doctors, I have a support system around me and my age is ironically to my advantage for healing.
Please start a new thread, with your background, diagnosis, concerns, fears and vents. The ladies here are wonderful and have a lot of information.
My surgery won't be until Sept, so I w
ill be here a while.
Also, please make sure you are comfortable with your Dr and diagnosis and you are confident in your surgeon, if this is a must within a month.
(((((HUGS))))) to you, this is scary stuff, but you have come to the right place for information and experience.

Re: Anyone else in their 30ies???
Hey there I'm 34 and having TVH June 22. I've battled fibroids one 8cm and all in my lining. I have horrendous cramping, pain and bleeding. It's debilitating. I'm 5 weeks away and really scared. I feel like I'm losing my femininity. I am keeping both my ovaries. I'm scared and find myself lashing out at my poor husband. Anyway, it's a difficult decision, but essentially my only choice. Good luck

Re: Anyone else in their 30ies???
36 and long time sufferer of pmdd. It has essentially robbed my life completely this past year with the extreme it has gotten to.
Right now on Lupron and confused after first week if still having pmdd or offs from shot etc. there is very little info out there regarding it and pmdd...
even my Dr. who has done the surgery for pmdd can't really say definitely until a month or so from now. its very confusing at this point.
Also i am unmarried and no children. The Mrs seem to realize though that my best hope is to adopt or foster in the future etc.
Being suicidal and accident dead one month by mistake the night before my period is far worse than not having children of my own genetically...
at least I will still ne here for anything at all and I very much want to be here majority of month. I soooo need this upon to work so I can be a good future candidate for surgery..
.I wish I knew more about typical first few weeks on this..especially from those who have pmdd..is weeping..cranky..fatigue..headaches the norm? oh and bloating and hunger..basically feels like early stages of my pmdd around ovulation. Like bad pms level.
Anyone else experience this on upon? Would set my mind at ease a little

Re: Anyone else in their 30ies???
Hi I'm 31 y/o also and have been receiving treatment for dysfunctional uterine bleeding since I was 25. My periods have always been heavy/painful and at first I thought this was normal,LOL. Being a nurse, for years I thought I must have a low tolerance to pain. The psychological aspects of endometriosis can be as bad as the physical, at least for me. I had the exp laparoscopy last year, tried Lupron, due for LAVH Thursday. I don't want to lose more life/sleep to the pain. Good luck to you, hon.

Re: Anyone else in their 30ies???
I'm 36, I have different problems (dermoid cysts within both ovaries) I'm due in for an operation in 2 weeks. All i know is that I'm going to have a full incision accross my tummy regardless of which op i opt for.
My dilema, is i either have a hysterectomy, which will include both ovaries or I just have one full ovary removed and a section of the other.
I am blessed with 3 children, one is almost 19year, one is almost 2years and one is 10 months. So I don't necessarily feel the need for more - but I'm terrified. I doubt this will help you, but sometimes it's nice to know you're not alone, although circumstances are different. Good luck x

Re: Anyone else in their 30ies???
I'm 39 (technically still in my thirties, hee hee). I just had a TAH with ovaries removed due to stage IV endometriosis. I'm not quite 7 weeks post op and just went back to work this week. I had a failed endometrial ablation about 7 years ago and honestly, wished I'd just had the TAH then. Of course, they wanted to try the ablation first but was quite frustrated that I still had cycles when it was over (that was one of the perks of it). Over the last 7 years, my symptoms continued to get worse. I'm still far from recovered but feel much better over all and don't regret it. I look forward to actually feeling good when my 40th birthday rolls around in January. 27 years of misery is way too much! Best wishes.
