Fowl smelling odor 1 year post-vaginal hysterectomy

I had a hysterectomy a year ago and I have been noticing a horrible smell coming from "down there". It has become really bad, even just a day after a shower. This is gonna sound extremely weird, but it is almost a garlicky smell. I'm not having any colored discharge, or really any discharge for that matter. I am becoming extremely worried about this, if anyone can help me out, I would sincerely appreciate it.

My surgeon told me a smelly discharge could indicate an infection. Even if you have no discharge per se perhaps you should see ypur doctor? Better safe than sorry!

If the smell is slightly fishy at all, then it is most like a very common infection called bacterial vaginosis, which would require an antibiotic. If that's not what it is, then it's something your doctor will have to diagnose and treat. Either way, you'll have to see a doctor I'm afraid.
