need to check other drs that can do davinci (updated: now post-op)

Trying to find out where the best place is for me to go for a second opinion regarding hysterectomy because I really want Da Vinci procedure, not traditional. Im in Central Fla.

If you look up daVinci hysterectomy on the internet, I believe it has a link to doctors in each state who do the procedure.

not sure exactly where your at but if your familiar with the villages.. thats where my doctor is at. I'm very pleased with hysterectomy.. I'm in my 4th week recovery and i have already went back to work...

I would think that most university hospitals have a referral program and you can request a doctor who does that procedure for hysterectomy. Try USF in Tampa or maybe University of Florida. Best of luck.

I ended up going to Orlando for my surgery on the 16th. I had it done with the da vinci robotics procedure and although I'm still sore, I would recommend it over the traditional method any day. They found a little extra scar tissue attached to my bladder and were able to remove it with this procedure without much blood loss at all, so I'm thrilled to have chosen this route.

Good for you...I drove an hour away and it was totally worth it. It's been one week today since my surgery and I'm doing pretty good. My biggest problem is that I had a very low iron level by the time of surgery and I'm still trying to make up for that. I'm healing well, just get tired easily.
