Trying to ease the experience of no HRT

Hi gals - I had a hystorectomy with one ovary removed and 3 months later had to be rushed back into surgery due to the growth of a hematoma the size of a football. Not to mention all of the associated infections with that. Anyway two years down the track my one ovary seems to have given up the ghost and now I am in menopause - tried HRT for 10 days went off it due to extreme breast tenderness and associated weight gain. Any ideas on herbal remedies or alternative therapies to ease the change? Am desperate to sleep properly don't mind the hot flashes so much though.

I'm doin two black cohosh pills a day. That helps in a huge way and drinking lots of water.
