Question - New Here New Here

Hi, I'm new here but love to see all the information available to women in regards to hysterectomies and more.
I am scheduled to have my full hysto July 3rd via the DiVinci robotic. Has anyone ever heard of having an extra cavatity off the side of their normal uterus? My ultrasound only showed my uterus at 8cm internal, but my doctor did a D&C and a hytoscopy which then showed my uterus to 13cm internally, with an additional cavity off the right side of an undetermined size. Even my gyno was completely confused.
Also, I keep talking to other women who keep saying not to take any hormones, just let nature take its course, why such the opposition to hormon supplement?
Thanks,
Walllvnv
