LSH: ovary cysts and sevear abdominal pain

hello i have an ovarian cyst on my left ovary that is 5.6 cm(as of April 24th ultrasound) and i have sevear abdominal pain all the way across from belly button down with sevear pressure on rectom has anyone had this before and did your hyster solve the issues please any advice or experance is welcome my pain and pressure has gotten much worse the last few days i am scheduled for pre-opp on june 6th and surgery on june 8th and dont know if i can handle this pain and pressure that long ( i have a very low pain tollerance )

cuddle - I am so sorry you are dealing with all of this pain. I also had a cyst, and had everything removed (I did not have any pain with mine).

I would think that the surgery should help your situation. If the pain and pressure have gotten worse, please inform your doctor. Things might be changing in there and they need to know. They may move your surgery up. You can also ask your doctor for any pain medication to help you until your surgery.

I had what we thought was one, but was really two in mirror image the size of oranges. As soon as they were removed, it was blissful relief. At that time, only the cysts were removed though, not a hysterectomy. If they take out your cyst, you will feel better. If you can't stand the pain anymore, definitely call - you just never know what mother nature has in store.

My hysterectomy was my 4th surgery for ovarian cysts. Last July my right overy and Fallopian tube were removed due to cysts that were huge. I was ok for a while but the I started having the same pain again. Doc said it was time, and I was actually relieved. I am 2 weeks post op and have had hardly any pain and the pain I do have is nothing like the pain before. It had gotten so bad I was on major doses of Percocet. After all was said and done, I had developed huge varicose veins on my uterus and horrible endometriosis. He did a complete LAVH and took everything, FINALLY!


Btw I get the pressure it felt like I was carrying a bowling ball around in my uterus. Ouch!

i know what u r saying adfedm i feel and look about 5 to 6 months pregnant my dr did give me talwin nx for pain do to i have allergies to asprin, lortab, and tremadol so there is not much i can take for pain this pain is almost as bad as what my labor pains was i am going to call his office today and see what they can tell me thanks i am so glad i found this site

We are here for you, sweetie. I know this is a difficult time and a difficult situation. Know that there is a site you can go to where the women really understand what you are going through..

thanks so much still waiting on a call back from the nurce they was busy yesterday but the lady i talked to said it may be just that the cyst is growing but she would have the nurce call me

I so can sympathaze with you! I also have a large cyst, mine is a little smaller than yours but so painful!!! My surgery is on June 5th and I am so nervous but also so excited to have it done to hopefully be pain free!!! Good luck to you!!!! Hugs!!!!! LSH/RSO
