Body aches

It has been 8 1/2 wks since my total abdominal hysterectomy. My surgeon cleared me for light running/abdominal exercises at 6 1/2 wks. My problem is daily whole body aches. I am not exercising daily & I do take days off from all physical activity & yet I'm still sore, sore, sore. After weeks & weeks of inactivity (I'm 42 yrs old & was in decent physical condition before surgery) post-surgery, all I can think of is that my body is getting used to being off the couch. Has anybody else experienced these whole body aches a couple of months after surgery?

Even though our doctors may release us for active duty so to speak, full recovery from a hysterectomy can take much longer. It can take six months to a year to fully recovery.
