9 weeks since hyster

It's been 9 weeks since hyster and vaginal prolapse recon. I AM SO GLAD I WENT THROUGH WITH IT!!! So many things are better. I kept my ovaries and have been on vivelle estrogen so there have been no mood issues or other things due to low estrogen. I must take my time voiding since it takes time for that to straighten out after having the urethra sling. No more leaks! Have to make sure I get enough fiber so rectal recon is not damaged. A big concern for me was the possible intimacy problems post surgery. Orgasms are a little different but great. Passing gas during an orgasm is pretty awful to say the least and because I was so loose I was having problems with that. Also, because the surgery tightened my vagina I am feeling sensations I forgot about a long time ago. I hope this helps. Maybe this can be an encouragement to some other 50 plus women. Oh yeah! No more periods!!!!!
