I am 3 days post-op. However, during the pre-op consult, I asked my doctor if I could leave my cervix? I wouldn't have asked had I not read that on this website. My doctor said he didn't offer that option since it's typical that women want the total removal of everything. After reviewing all options, he was pleased that I had asked, because he felt 100% comfortable to leave the cervix. The recovery time is at least 50% faster, with less side effects. He asked me why I knew to ask, and I told him about HysterSisters. So, thank you for this forum and the "List of questions to ask your doctor!".
