Estradiol...Weight Gain, Larger Breasts...Please Help

I had a BSO on March 8, 2012. My doctor started me on 1 mg of Estradiol. I started having headaches and ended up splitting the pill and taking .5 in the morning and .5 at night. I have gained 16 lbs. since the surgery and my breasts have gotten larger. My appetite has also increased. Do you all think if I only take .5 mg/day I will lose weight? My doctor told me a I can try it and see. I also started back walking on Monday and was not that active after surgery, because I wanted to give my body a chance to heal fully. My doctor also said I may be gaining weight because I feel better now that the endo is gone.

Any suggestions??? Should I decrease my dosage to .5 mg daily?

I noticed when I was on a higher dose patch I was hungrier, had tender breasts (bigger) and did gain some weight. I would ask doctor for the lower dose and give it a try. Please allow for your body to adjust to the dose, as it can take several weeks.

Thank you for responding! My doctor told me that I could try the lower dosage, .5 mg. Did you lose the extra weight and have a decrease in hunger when you switched to a lower dosage?
