post op complications

So I finally found out why I feel so bad. Thursday night I did a no-no and had intercourse. Yeah I know I should have waited but seeing as I was supposed to be cleared Monday I thought why not. I had very light spotting after. Friday I woke up a little crampy. I didn't think anything about it until about 2 am. The cramping progressively had gotten worse until I just couldn't stand it. I called the dr and was told to go to the er. Apparently the er I went to was worried cause they rushed me back. Did blood work and hooked me up to an iv and did a pelvic. the Dr said that the cuff looked amazing. Thank God! He sent me for a cat scan. while I'm waiting for the tests to come back they gave me some torodol. The doctor came back in and told me if it hadn't been for me being scared of something being messed up they prolly would have never found out what was really wrong. The sex didn't damage anything. Yay. But I have a large fluid pocket that is the cause of all my abdominal pain. He said it was possibly infected. I also have bacterial vaginosis. he said that the antibiotic he was gonna give.would cover both infections. He also tells me no sex for two more weeks. Go figure. Got sent home on an antibiotic and an anti inflammatory. after all of this I'm almost glad I broke the rules because now I have proof that something was wrong this whole time. But now I know I'm totally getting yelled at on Monday. I just wish the doctors would have listened before so maybe I would already feel better!

Re: post op complications

I'm pleased to hear that although you did the wrong thing, it lead you to getting treatment that you needed. Sometimes things work out for the best!
