Re: Can't sleep!!

I hate to sound hokey, but I would try a self hypnosis cd or download. I have a free one in my I pad and one I purchased. I love them. It is worth a try before starting on another medication.

Good luck - catch some zzzz's soon!

Re: Can't sleep!!

Just chiming in to say that I had the same problem. Fortunately, at 11 weeks post op, sleep is pretty much normal... Hang in there... Rest when you can...

Re: Can't sleep!!

Same here. I am just a few days over five weeks. My doctor told me to try melatonin or benadryl. I hate the way that makes me feel so I guess I will try melatonin. I also have had restless legs for years and the lack of sleep causes my legs to get restless then that makes it impossible to go to sleep. I have tried to keep myself awake all day to make sure I can sleep but still lay there all night wide awake. If you come up with any good solutions please let me know. I have had about 10 hours of sleep in the past 5 days!!

I also had been diagnosed with migraines before my surgery. My doctor said the surgery would help with that since we could regulate the hormones ourselves. WRONG!!! I have had a headache for the better part of five weeks!! They are getting worse. We have tried all different level so hormones and nothing seems to be working. She wanted me to try this nose spray that is for pain (faster acting since it goes in the nose). The medicine was going to cost me $560. Yes that is five hundred and sixty dollars. I got one days worth to see if it would work. It was $38 and didn't do anything!!! Sure glad I didn't pay for all 15 days.

I am supposed to go back to work next week. That might be tricky with no sleep and a migraine.

Help!!

Are your calves bothering you because they hurt? I don't want to be alarmist, but I was told that I should call my doctor immediately if I experienced calf pain, since it could be a sign of deep vein thrombosis or blood clots.

It wouldn't help the way my calves are feeling though. Thanks for the suggestion.

I have had those before and the feeling is different. I have been on blood thinners for a couple of years now. Thank you!
