Re: Recovery Progress Reports for Hysterectomy dates May 28-Jun 03,2012

Good Morning Ladies. I hope all slept well. I had insomnia with not being able to get legs comfortable(wierd). I was released from hospital yesterday after 2 night stay. Doctors had to give me stronger medicine then they originally perscribed. Typically pericarditis and pericardial effusion are treated with 800 ibuprofen. So they switched it two Colcrys(strong anti flammatory) and Prednisone( Steroid). Today I take 16 pills of the prednizone at once, thats not counting all my other medicine. I do feel a little better in the chest area. But unfortunately I'm still having alot of pain from hysterectomy. Dr did say its because of my heart being so angry its not allowing me to heal from surgery. And I need to stay on the couch not doing anything except to bath, eat & shower. Bummer!!! I did meet 2 ladies in hospital that had hysterectomies. One of witch I told about us sister's. The other is a sister and we talked about what a God sent this site is. XXXXXXX.......

Good morning all, i am doing so much better, i still have some cramping when i pee and bend over but other than that i feel good. Still very exhausted i find myself napping every afternoon for an hour. I am soo sorry to hear about the problems some of our sisters are having, please know that my prayers are with you. I m going out today for my daughters dance recital, i m excited to finally get dressed and do my hair and make up, my husband will think i am a new woman. I hope you all have a good day. Hugs and love to all.

Re: Recovery Progress Reports for Hysterectomy dates May 28-Jun 03,2012

Hi everyone,
I'm at such a low point about what has happened that being online to get answers and comfort via 'research', etc has become rather obsessive and self-defeating. I have to deal with what has occurred, and I have to start doing that from a hopeful place, instead of the bleak darkness I've been in. It will take time, but I will start with some small practical steps now. So, I'm going to sign off for a few days and focus my energy on being as much of a mother as I can right now, as well as on resting and believing that there will be good for and in my life again. I care about all of you and your journeys, and I look forward to catching up with you soon.

Hello ladies!
It's been a while since I posted here. I'm still taking it easy and still feeling sore. I think my entire insides are swollen and I've been getting a low grade fever the last couple days. It could have something to do with me overdoing it. I wake up feeling fantastic so I try to keep up my normal routine. Ugh. Does anyone else have severe cramping in your bowels? It's not BM related either. It feels like labor!! That just started a couple days ago. So strange. I am happy to report that I haven't had hot flashes or crazy emotions. So that's a huge relief.
I hope you are all on the mend and feeling better!

Hi Ladies
To those still having issues I am there with you at times. I still have bleeding, due to the exam I had Thursday and me being up too long at times. I did have a good day yesterday was up and about and even went outside with the boys and watch while they did things. I even sat down on the step and painted letters on one of our recycling cans and my wash tub that I am making into a flower pot! I was tired when I came in but it felt oh so nice to be out in the fresh air even if I couldnt jump right in with the things they were doing. I am a tad sore today and my gas is terrible has been since about 2 am thins morning. I hope the rest of you have had some good days as well and blessings!

My little girl is just fine...as daredevil as ever. I have three family friends movong away...so I have overdone it in attending their farewell picnics. I sat the whole time, but just getting ready, riding in the car, etc is too much. I am really swollen and hurting belly...so I plan to do nothing but rest the next few days.

My best friend is moving 10 hours away and leaves today. I haven't cries (other than with extreme pain) since surgery...but I can't quit crying now. Oh how friends fill the spirit with such emotion. I also miss my daddy today...can't travel to see him today.

I hope you ladies have a great day and are resting and healing!

I know how it feels to leave friends behind...I moved from England to Canada a few years ago and sobbed for days as I missed my best friend! The good thing is that there are things like Skype so you can still stay in touch - and free accommodation when you meet up on vacation at each other's houses!

Re: Recovery Progress Reports for Hysterectomy dates May 28-Jun 03,2012

I drove for the first time yesterday. I only drove a short distance, but it was ok. I did get some sharp shooting pains from my belly button down to my crotch, but nothing I couldn't deal with.
My incisions have all healed - only one has a scab left on it, although they are still tender, especially the one on my left and the one in my pubic area.
I am taking Psyllium and colace twice a day, and drinking all the fluid I can in order to sort my sluggish bowels out - it seems to be working

I hope the rest of you are recovering well

Hello ladies. My beach trip is over. It was so strange to be restricted on vacation but I napped, read & relaxed at the condo with just 2 hrs on the actual beach.

I am having bladder issues & a little bleeding. I walked too much & got too hot one day and after that, peeing became difficult/painful, and it kind of feels like everything inside my body is going to fall out of me. That's the best way I can describe. it's a constant urge to pee and very painful at times, especially when I stand to walk to the potty.
Im visiting my Dr tomorrow. I hope he can help.
In better news, I'm completely off my pain pills...mainly because I ran out.

I hope you're all feeling better & starting to get energy back!
