Goodbye Uterus Party?

If I feel better I might have a few friends over for a goodbye party for my Uterus. Has anyone else done this and what kind of things would be fun? I thought it might pass the time. I thought about giving my pads away and saving a few. One Hystersister said her daughter wanted her to get a "No Womb At The Inn" cake. I thought that sounded fun. PS: I bought myself aq princess pillow yeterday! It is just like the crown symbol on here and it is pink. I am taking it to the castle with me.

Re: Goodbye Uterus Party?

My gal friends and I are planning a post op celebration in a couple of months. I'm certain there will be good riddance toasts!

Re: Goodbye Uterus Party?

I have also heard of that as well.

One caution: I had to wear pads for six weeks post-op due to discharge (normal). The discharge was mostly clear with some yellowish discharge as well. I had some bleeding the first few days. I used the ultra-thin maxis and two to three times a day.

Lovelyladylumps - love your sense of humor I've seen in this post and others. I think a party would be great, but none of my friends would "get" it. I sure am ready to say good bye to the pain and mess.

Re: Goodbye Uterus Party?

I didnt get to do an actual party but I sent out "invites" via facebook for the "uterus eviction eventl & listed the date, time & location of surgery. I didnt want my friends there, but it was a fun idea. I would've loved to do a party, but didnt have the $ or support for it (someone to watch my 6yo). I treated myself to a pedi 2days before though!
Have fun! If you do have a party, please share how it all went with all your sisters here?!
Best wishes. The waiting is so very hard.

Re: Goodbye Uterus Party?

Thanks Jewel Dog. Rhianah: Me too! I need something to plan for and look forward to. I am hyper focused on whether of not my uterus is going to keep falling as it already has. I went to a funeral today and was afraid I'd drop a uterus while there and further traumatize the grieving.

Re: Goodbye Uterus Party?

Lovelyladylumps top bad we dont live closer yo keep eachother company. I am so sorry to hear that your doctors aren't getting you in sooner. To ease your mind a little my sister had the same issues and hers didn't totally fall out. She would get budgets and be in a lot of pain but no falling out. I hope you can keep busy for the next 2 weeks!
