HI, so glad you got the port.Being new to all of this I just assumed that everyone had the port placed before they started treatment. I go to the radiation dept. next Tues. for simulation, that takes about two hours. I am supposed to start treatment the following week. They say the actual treatment only takes about 10 minutes. By the way, I didn't get the neulasta shot today. I go back in thirty days to have the port flushed. I pray you have a good day tomorrow and the rest of the week. God bless

Thanks. I just wanted to share my devotional today, as I read it with new eyes. It is 1 Samuel, the story of David and Goliath. I see David as all of us doing the battle with Goliath (us VS cancer). Although cancer has managed to be all big and scary to most, to us he is just another bear or lion that we have slain in the past with God at our sides. We have our stones of chemo and radiation and GOD. Cancer WILL go down...Blessings AND COURAGE Teeth

Good Morning Teeth, That is an awesome comparison. I totally agree. People are always amazed by my positive attitude not changing when I got this diagnosis. I tell them that my faith controls my attitude. I can choose to walk by faith or fear. I choose faith and that cancels out fear. Have a blessed day!

Good evening now. Chemo was much easier with the port. Still a very long day, from 8:45 to 7PM. Had 2 of my 3 sisters with me today so it was a great day. Gonna try to sleep. No nausea. God is good

Glad you had a better time with the port. Having company over the long day helps. My husband stayed with me from 7 am to 3 which isn't anywhere near your length of time. I slept most of it so I felt sorry for him there just reading by himself most of the time. It was nice though each time I opened my eyes he was there. I want to swim this summer so am going to tough out the back of the hand but boy is it sore. Glad you haven't had the nausea. Hope you are taking all the anti nausea pills that they give you. I did and the worked. I get nauseaus all of the time normally so those drugs sure work. Good luck getting through the rest of it.

Hi everyone...It has been so long since I have been on. I have had 3 chemo treatments and got an infection and ended up in the hospital for a couple of days with a high fever. They postponed the next treatment a week, as my platelets were to low. I have felt good these last days, so I assume we will go ahead as usual tomorrow. Please pray for bodily strengths Teeth
