I'm going to have DH help me shower tonight. He has been really good of being there when I need him. He is very adamant that my stubborn side does not take hold and do more than I'm supposed to. Best wishes to everyone!

UOTE=Honeylibra77;3798328]Going on 4th day post op, woke up this morning in pain because I finally sleep and skipped my meds, but feel okay now! I don't like pain meds but for this I will use them! My Dr made sure I stay out of pain so I take pain meds every 3 hrs and Motrin every6hrs but it did feel good to sleep! Yes put your other half to work, my DH has been awesome!! He can shower me down anytime!! Love the massages! Good luck on everyone's recovery!😘[/quote]

Had my surgery Thursday June 21 , surgery went great . No problems did not lose to much blood as I was told . They manged my pain well and nurses and staff was great . I have been up and moving and getting things going. The GAS has to be the worse thing so far Right after I eat a meal I start bloating .UGH so GAS X is MY NEW FRIEND . Back to surgery every thing was good I drank Like a fool water never tasted so good . Cath did not come out till Friday morning at 3:30 am . Felt much better after that . Ate first meal at 5am Egg Mcmuffin went and walked around and then took shower and got all clean up and headed to get ready to go home. They released me about 9am on friday morning. Hour and half drive home and I was very tired and ready for bed . dozed a while on and off . Today was good little pain but managing it all . First bm this after noon proud of that . I have took 2nd shower and feeling really , really tired . so headed to chill awhile and read some more post . thanks to all of you sister's love you all and hope all your surgery's go and went well .

Re: Recovery Progress Reports for Hysterectomy dates Jun 18-Jun 24,2012

I had a total hysterectomy, bladder/bowel prolapse repair, bladder/urethra sling yesterday. I'm finally home and in tons of pain. My blood pressure following surgery was exremely low (70/30) so I not given ANY pain meds aside from toradol. They send me home with Percocet, but I'm afraid to take it since my blood pressure is still running low today. The two incisions on my labia at the pelvic bone continue to be the most sensitive, and gas pain is causing the most issues for me.
