Hey i'm shandstar (Lee) am new to here, and live in NSW and am currently on waiting list for Hysterectomy in march next yr....its great to be able to see and know that there is a support system for hysterectomies.....how things have changed from when my mum had one.

Have just joined the hystersisters. Had a hyster 11 years ago and am now suffering menopause symptoms. have tried a few different drugs from Dr, and now trying to find something better.

Please add me to the list of sisters living in WA

Hi Robyn & Aussie Girls ,

I'm in Brisbane & have been posting a bit lately. I had TAH in 2007, then Ooporechtomy in 2010. Rectopexy for rectal prolapse in 2011 & that failed so just had rectocele & perineal repair 2 weeks ago to try again. Tough recovery but good news is my bowels work again. Just have to heal now but I think my body is protesting at having all these surgeries & is healing very slowly. Great to see so many Aussie Girls on here. I've spread the word to friends who are about to face hysterectomies. It really is a Godsend. Cheers Sam
