I highly recommend you take your husband with you to your next doctor's appointment and tell your doctor what your husband is saying so s/he can set him straight about what your body is healing from and what you need now.

Regardless, don't do anything that jeopardizes your health to meet anyone else's expectations. It would be you living with the additional pain if anything happened, not him. I had Sisters in my Date group that put themselves back days and worse by trying to push themselves as they felt better.
