Scared! Monday is almost here!

Thanks to everyone for the comforting words! May God Bless You All! Ladies that are pre-op, you are in my thoughts and prayers! Today, I'm going to find me some super cute pajamas because I have to be at the castle @ 6 a.m! We princess may be having surgery, but we can look super cute afterwards hugs to you all & God Bless

Best wishes to all of you who having your surgeries soon. I had my surgery on 6/12 and was very nervous and anxious. I want to let you know that I had a total hysterectomy davinci and everything went extremely smooth. Listen to your doctors instructions and please do take it easy. Like you've heard here, you only get one chance to heal and recover.

My prayers are with you all and my hope is that your surgery and recovery will be as smooth as mine.

Sitting in a hotel near the hospital after travelling to big city. Got to be up at 6am so should try to sleep but am trawling the site instead. And drinking water till I have to stop in a few minutes. Glad people on line at all hours. Good luck fast recovery all my same day sisters.

Oh, I know exactly how you feel. I had a TAH with BSO this past Tuesday and I was more scared of the anesthesia that the procedure itself. Also scared of the post op pain meds. Feeling much better today than I thought I would!

The Sunday before my surgery, the second reading was one of my favorite scriptures:

But He said to me, "My grace is sufficent for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me.
2 Corinthians 12:9

Hold your faith close to your heart! He will watch over you!

The anesthesia doctor seemed so confident and chipper that he put my mind at ease. I ask him some questions. He ask me some. I ask him to make sure that I didn't wake up intubated and he said he would. I don't even rememebr the intubation. He was good.

Laundry done, house is spotless, and my bag is packed! I had my magnesium citrate cocktail at 4.. I actually feel nauseous from it:/ one minute I'm nervous about this procedure..the next minute I'm at peace! Unfortunately I started today, but I think the horrible cramps have been a wonderful reminder as to why I'm having this procedure! Thank you all again for your kind words! One thing that does have me nervous tonight is the "position" I will be in during surgery??! Sounds unsettling to me..didn't realize I wouldn't be lying flat on my back!
