One year ago today

Today it has been a year since I had my TVH. I still have my ovaries so I still get the sore breast, achy feeling once a month. But let me tell you, it is nothing compared to what I endured before the surgery. I feel like a new woman. I feel 100% better!! My life isn't dictated around my periods anymore and that is truly a wonderful thing. My first six weeks post op was awful. I had severe pain on my left side, uti's and a couple of cysts develop on my right overies. After a couple of doc visits, everything finally got back to normal. I still can't believe it has been a year. I don't have any regrets. I just wish I had it sooner. My sex life has been off the charts now. I never knew it could get better but it has. My husband is deployed now and its been 4 months with 3 more to go. I can't WAIT for him to get back, lol. I tell him all the time to be ready :0)
I'm looking forward to my life without the pain. I have lost weight since the surgery and I now lift weights and run. Something I never did before. I hope this helps someone to know that there are positives stories out there. The road my be bumping at first but it was so worth it. Take care ladies.
