Thumbs up - RALH daVinci - No Regrets - Got my Life Back RALH daVinci - No Regrets - Got my Life Back

For years I lived with constant pain and extremely heavy bleeding. I had adenomyosis, several very big fibroid tumors and countless small ones, and enlarged uterus. I held off on doing anything about it for 7 years because of my fear of doctors and surgery.

I finally reached out for help and was told hysterectomy is the only way to go. When I read stories on the internet of the, oftentimes, easy recovery for some who had robotic-assisted daVinci hysterectomy, I searched for a surgeon and found one who had done several hundred successful daVinci surgeries. I wanted to make sure whoever I chose to do my daVinci surgery had performed over a hundred of them successfully.

There is really nothing eventful to tell about. This was so easy, as though I had a simple outpatient procedure. Four hours after my surgery, I walked out of the hospital and into my husband's car. The first 2 days were hard mostly because of the gas pain, which I even had in my chest and arms. The 3rd day that gas pain was gone and I was out shopping.

I felt so well and pain free that I had to remind myself and force myself to rest and do very little the first two weeks till I saw my surgeon. At my two-week post-operative check-up, my surgeon said I could get back to all of my regular activities, including horseback riding, the gym, biking, etc..

In the last 2-1/2 weeks, I have not had a single bit of pain. I have so much energy now. I lost 10 pounds without even trying. The terrible low back pain I lived with daily for years is gone as well. When I wake up every morning, the first thing I think of is....I cannot believe how well I feel. I wish I didn't wait so long. I suffered needlessly for about 7 years.
