I have looked through the phone book, called every Dr I thought would help, and prayed. So far no luck. I am 31, had 3 surgeries already to fix the sling and the erosion and now I am told I have to have the sling removed AND reconstruction surgery of my vagina wall!!! I NEED HELP!! I need to find a Dr to do it... if someone can help me, please let me know!!!

Re: need Dr to remove mesh in Louisiana

I would look long and hard. Just had that surgery in May. Had partial mesh removal & reconstruction of my pelvic floor, walls and back wall. I want you to know I am miserable. My surgery was May 11th of this year and I am 2 months out and I feel exactly like I did when I went in. Cramping all the time, for hours at a time! I feel like I'm sitting on shards of glass & my vaginal area is sooo hot! I can't do anything, if I do dishes, I cramp, if I go to the grocery store I cramp, if I sit straight up I cramp, I'm truly miserable! Surgeon removed the eroted portions but now I'm worse! Just sitting normally is impossible, I can't bend over or squat. If I was you I would look for a obgyn doc at a University hospital!
