Mixed Feelings

I have been fighting the inevitable for about 5 years now. I have a long family history of HysterSisters including my Mom at age 23 and 2 Aunts before the age of 40. I knew that it would only be a matter of time but at 34, I didn't expect to hear the words - cancer, it is time and it is no longer an option.
I do understand, I know it is the right and only option but is it normal that I still feel so confused, lost and almost depressed about the situation?

I think more than anything I am worried about "after" and my Husband and Kids having to deal with the After.

I'm sorry that you're facing this surgery but hope knowing that you won't be alone on the journey is comforting to you.
