My Hysterectomy story..

I am 47 and had my TAH/RSO in May after having had 3 years of heavy bleeding requiring numerous Iron transfusions and five Blood transfusions in March and three during surgery, it was that bad when my Dr. opened me up. I was told I had one fibroid but that wasn't the case, I had multiple fibroids and my Right ovary was bleeding. I had everything taken but my Left ovary and alittle bit of the left fallopian tube as my Dr. put it. After my hospital stay in March I realized this wasn't going to get any better and my life was at stake so I found a Dr. and had a Uterine scope Biopsy done and had surgery a month later. I was so tired of being ill and not having the quality of life I deserved I followed thru with it even though I was so very scared of surgery. However my fears were unfounded and I had the best care and my Dr. was wonderful and took good care of me before and after. Surgery literally saved my life.
