8 week post op blues

I'm new around here but I had a experience today that really upset me. I'm thankful I have a job but my job is taking care of newborn infants to toddlers. Visited my job today for the first time...held an infant for the first time and I wanted to just CRY?? I have been blessed with two myself but born prematurely because of all my gyn issues...I love my job but wasn't prepared for the saddness that jumped me from behind...knowing I will never have another of my own is overwhelming. I should be thankful God gave me two miracles

Re: 8 week post op blues

Prayers and hugs to you. I was blessed to have one miracle when I didn't think it could happen. She is now 3 and I am 42, knew I couldn't have any more but am still having 'illogical sad moments'. DH thinks I am crazy some days. I really wanted 3! I know I am loved and blessed, but can't help but miss what might have been...

Re: 8 week post op blues

Hi thebird ((and Rover)),

Feeling grief for loosing your womb and the ability to have another child is completely normal. Please allow yourself to grieve this loss...no matter how many children you have or didn't have, loosing the ability to consider the possibility can be overwhelming. The best thing I found to do was let myself feel it, cry, get it out and not be ashamed of those feelings....I journaled and spent a lot of time outside by the creek. It's my happy place.

Talk to your if things get overwhelming for you, you shouldn't have to suffer.

Most importantly, you are not alone...there are many of us who understand or have been right there with you!!
