Footwear and hint for single women

So I have two hints after looking through the other hints here. Really great ideas and one really good one for single ladies a few pages back that I wished I would have read BEFORE I had my surgery. But have two others, maybe, to add to the list.

1. Footwear. I am a socks and tennis shoe type of person unless I am dressing up for some reason so when going to the hospital I put on socks and tennis shoes not even really thinking. Fortunately for me, I did pick up and throw in my overnight bag a pair of flip flop type of shoes even though I detest that type of shoe because on my dismissal the next day, my feet were so swollen from fluids, that even with help from the nurse, there was no way that my tennis shoes were going to fit. And as I am a single person and lost my watch dog ( love my family dearly, but they drive me nuts on occasion) there is no way I can still put on my favorite footwear yet. So, whatever you might think, you need something you can just slip into regardless of who is going to be there to help!!

2. Shopping. As mentioned before, I am single and thought I had prepared great for the surgery and recovery. Turns out, not too bad for the surgery and a couple of weeks after, but found out that have lifting restrictions beyond what was expecting. wasn't expecting not being able to lift anything over 10 lbs for 6 weeks as dr said I could go back to light work in 10 days!! My family is driving me nuts telling me that I will have to get help shopping due to restrictions for that time period and now wish that I had prepared for a little longer time. So my suggestion is to over prepare and rejoice if you have too much. Better safe than sorry.

Good Luck and I really don't regret this decision, at least not yet
